WAI is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of those who have dedicated themselves to protecting buildings from water seepage and rehabilitating buildings damaged due to poor construction practices — by providing them a unified voice in the construction industry.
A movement, born in Delhi
Where It All Began
In 2018, a group of waterproofing professionals gathered in Delhi, concerned that waterproofing lacked organisation and recognition despite its critical role in construction. Skilled professionals went unrecognised while customers struggled to identify reliable expertise.
The Birth of a Movement
WAI was formally established in March 2018 under the Societies Act as a dedicated trade association led by waterproofing professionals — for waterproofing professionals.
